The Cherishing Sidmouth Cemeteries website grows

This is very early days for the CSC project, but the website is proving an invaluable starting point – with ideas and views being taken on board as the project grows. The current ‘Welcome’ page gives a gentle overview of how things are – but with further exchanges, the text will be tweaked and new insights added:

Meanwhile, some fabulous photos are being sent in – and as part of the framework which the website is providing for the project, these are being categorised and labelled for handy reference.

There are several fine photographs by Kate Tobin of spring flowers – under the ‘Nature’ label:

But late summer grasses are rather featureless and not very pretty. To quote from the ‘Then and Now’ page under the ‘Memories’ label:

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so these images show the change from a maintained space to an unmaintained space.
