CSC Working Party: 11th September 2025

Some fabulous photos and a nice report on today’s labours of the CSC working party from volunteer Tess Bisson:

“It was lovely to have a visit from Liz, who continues her amazing recovery after falling off a mountain! She was scaling the slopes of the cemetery, testing out the new online accessible record of graves system – found at HeritEDGE – East Devon District Council – Sidmouth.

We managed to get lots done just before a heavy midday shower: 

Renovating neglected shrubs and weeding the Winslade border, ready for some new autumn planting to come.

There’s a photo of ragwort flowers which are providing useful late summer food for insects, and you might want to address the unwarranted bad rap this plant gets. Livestock are no longer grazing in the cemetery so there is no problem with this great resource living here…
