It’s been very interesting to see how history on the ground as it were matches up with the archives.

This week’s report, research and photography come from CSC working party member Amanda O’Carroll:

“End of an era for Govier’s of Sidmouth fine china shop stirs memories”

We discovered 2 of their family graves this morning under the same brambles covering John Field last week. One of them only died in 2001 so a myth the old part of the cemetery only has oldest burials.
