It has been promised for some time that new signage for Sidmouth Cemetery would be ‘coming soon’ – as per a recent post:
“There are now considerable efforts underway to bring in clear and helpful replacement signs at the entrances to the Cemetery, which will focus on asking dog owners to pick up after their dogs. There will also be messaging about keeping dogs on leads, following on from the council’s public spaces consultation on the issue.”
And so the District Council has at last put up signage at all the entrances for both the Sidmouth and the Sidbury Cemeteries.
As reported by a member of the Cherishing Sidmouth Cemeteries group says:
“We also noted a sign has been put up at the Winslade Road entrance but it looks as if the one on Temple Street has already been ripped off the wall as only glue used!”
